concentrated sun soaked fruit with a rich lees induced texture and a complex finish… perfect summer white!

A blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Roussanne & Viognier with clear signs of a deft touch in both it’s blending and handling in the winery. I’ve been searching for good go-to white for all occasions this summer and this really stood out at a recent Majestic tasting. Spicy grapefruit and white peach aroma, with a clean acidity and crystalline fresh fruit front and centre on the palate with a deep lees aged texture and a long complex finish. It manages by turns to be soft, rounded, clear and complex… no small feat for a humble Cotes du Rhone. If like me you’ve had overwhelming more red wines from the Rhone than white, this should be an eye opener. £7.49 from Majestic Wines with 2 or more bottles in your case.
